Teens at USH have opportunities to participate
​in a number of ways, learning, helping out in the
Learning Center, and cultivating relationships.

Teen Enrollment
PART 1: ShulCloud Payment- our online tuition processing website through the synagogue. This step is one per family.

  • Log in to your account: fill in the form  
  • SUBMIT: which will take you to a payment page.


After this step is complete....

PART 2:  Guidestar

  • Returning students - Good news, update only medical information & any information that may have changed (grade & any emergency contacts/approved pick-up contacts). Then simply sign and date at the end - so we have confirmation of student updated information. Guidestar student application
  • New students - please fill out the complete Guidestar student application

MADRICHIM

Madrichim are Teacher Assistants who help in Learning Center classes, whether by helping the teachers with the running of the classes, guiding students and helping them with their assignments, and generally serving as role-models to the younger students. Students in 8th grade and above interested in becoming a Madrich (boy assistant) or Madricha (girl assistant) should fill out this application form https://forms.gle/QuWsMx6KLGLB7hbF7

LEVEL UP: NATIV/EIGHTH GRADE

Students in Level Up: Nativ engage in meaningful discussions about current events, social issues, and teen life through a Jewish lens. The word Nativ and this program emphasizes social connection, community building, and informal learning.  This class will meet twice a month with one session at USH and one session as a monthly meetup in students' homes.    

LEVEL UP: TICHON/NINTH-TENTH-ELEVENTH GRADE

Level Up: Tichon continues the work of Nativ with deeper discussion on Jewish identity, ethics, and contemporary topics. The program balances thoughtful dialogue with peer connection and community. This class will meet twice a month with one session at USH and one session as a monthly meetup in students' homes. ​

TWELFTH GRADE

Twelfth graders meet monthly with Rabbi Scheinberg and guest speakers for seminar-style discussions on modern Israel’s history and contemporary controversies, preparing them to navigate Jewish life and conversations beyond high school.

BBYO

​BBYO is the leading pluralistic Jewish teen movement in America, aspiring to involve more Jewish teens in more meaningful Jewish experiences. As expressed in our core values, BBYO welcomes Jewish teens of all backgrounds, denominational affiliation, gender, race, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status, including those with a range of intellectual, emotional, and physical abilities.
